Belgravia Painters & Decorators

How we work

From the first decorating brief to preparation, agreed finishes and handover. The details to settle before work begins.

01 / Define the brief

Tell us the address, the rooms or external surfaces involved and whether the property will be occupied. Photographs, approximate dimensions and any existing specifications help explain the work. Include access restrictions and features you want to retain.

02 / Assess and specify

The surface condition determines the preparation. Discuss repairs, protection, colours and finish levels before agreeing the scope. If there are signs of moisture, movement or damaged historic fabric, further investigation may be needed before decoration.

03 / Agree the quotation

Check the surface schedule, materials, preparation, access costs, exclusions and programme assumptions. Confirm who will approve samples and how changes are recorded. Dates and the final scope are agreed for the particular job.

04 / Prepare and decorate

Protection, repairs and preparation precede the finishing coats. The sequence should suit the selected products and the way the property is occupied. Discuss any newly exposed defects before extending the agreed work.

05 / Inspect and hand over

Review the agreed surfaces and record any items needing attention. Keep the colour references and product details for future maintenance. Follow the coating manufacturer’s curing and cleaning guidance when returning rooms and joinery to normal use.
