Victorian Terrace Post-Renovation Decoration

The Challenge

Post-renovation decoration presents unique challenges. Fresh plaster across large areas needs to be treated correctly to prevent paint failure. The bespoke joinery, including floor-to-ceiling bookcases, window seats with storage, and fitted wardrobes, all required a durable spray-applied finish that could withstand daily family use. Multiple trades were still completing snagging work, requiring close coordination.

Our Approach

We scheduled our work in two phases: an initial phase to mist-coat all new plaster and apply first coats while other trades completed their snagging, followed by a final phase for finishing coats once all other work was complete. Bespoke joinery was sprayed in situ using HVLP equipment with careful masking of surrounding areas. Bathrooms were finished with specialist moisture-resistant paints. We maintained a snagging list alongside the building contractor to ensure all imperfections were addressed before final coats were applied.

The Result

The freshly renovated and decorated house is a seamless blend of original Victorian character at the front and bright contemporary living spaces at the rear. The built-in joinery has a smooth, professional finish that complements the clean lines of the new extension.
